Bite Me Cancer (BMC) was formed in 2010 by Nikki Ferraro who was diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer at the age of 17. During her hospitalizations and treatments, she realized that teenagers with cancer fell through the cracks between the pediatric and adult support services. BMC developed a Teen Support Bag that has been shipped to almost 8,400 teens throughout the country. Also, BMC has funded 8 direct thyroid cancer grants www.bitemecancer.org

Spotslylvania Animal Shelter houses strays and unwanted animals. The animals are redeemed by owners or adopted. This is a NO KILL Mission shelter since September 2013 with a live release rate of 93%.
